Go West, Young Man

Father and son cycling in Colorado and Utah

We camped in really diverse places, including at Lake Powell
and at 10,000 feet near Cedar Breaks in very cold and windy weather

                      Happy Father's Day

Father and Son Dancing         B. Kershisnik

When I saw this painting in a book, I was moved, and I immediately
                              thought of John and Jacob.

In honor of the Queen's Jubilee

                               Long has she reigned!

I like bunting. And I like England.
(As immigrant children in Canada, we quickly learned to sing "God Save the Queen", as well as "Oh Canada"...)

Happy Birthday, dearest Jacob         May 21

                    Carrolton Branch

John and Pres. Graves, Carrolton branch president

A few Sundays ago, John and I spoke in this little branch. They meet in a store front right on the Ohio River. The simplicity of the setting and the gratitude and humble kindnss of the members reminded us of some of the D'dorf mission days. It was a lovely and special experience we will long remember.

Air Force Museum in Dayton

Went to see Shauna and the children in Dayton, and we visited the Air Force Museum. Fun time.

LContae  and Jakobe.    (LC told me his mom said his initials stand for "Lovely Child".  LC , you are so right.)
This family is very dear to me, and I really miss them since they moved away.   (photo taken in Bardstown last year.)

NaToreis is walking!   Anton, Jakobe on the plane, NaToreis and LC

Scenes from visiting teaching this month

Each woman I visit has enriched my life, as has Loretta (v. t. partner), of course.

Today is a red letter day!

Celina helped me to start my own little blog. I have no idea what I'm doing, but let's just start, and see how it goes.

In celebration of Dawn and her birthday, we had lunch at Mammy's Kitchen
and split a cupcake at The Sugar Buzz
